Today I would like to talk about the impact of artificial intelligence on architecture in 2023. The world changed forever, artificial intelligence became accessible to the public for free through tools such as:

Chat gpt completely changed the way of working. Its reputation grew from 0 to 1 million users in just 5 days, which is a differential record for any other platform in the world. In reference to Instagram, it took two months to reach one million users.

How does artificial intelligence influence architecture?

Lately there has been a lot of boom in architecture and artificial intelligence, in recent years some people think that it is about to transform the world we live in in unimaginable ways and others are a little less optimistic. Personally I prefer to keep an open mind and try things myself, I consider them as tools just like Revit, autocad and sketchup etc. I believe that they are here to facilitate the work, not to harm us.

A few years ago, many people thought that the first thing that artificial intelligence would replace was physical work and then it would be simple office jobs and then specialists such as programmers and coders and finally creative jobs, but the interesting thing is that it happened the other way around.

With the creation of programs that integrate artificial intelligence in architecture and construction, such as gpt chat, a transformative model that is trained on a massive text data set to understand and generate a human-like language.

It has been trained on millions of words, allowing it to understand and respond to a wide variety of messages and questions. We at the architecture studio use the program for basic tasks such as: project descriptions, building codes, emails for clients, messages for suppliers and much more. This makes it easier for us to focus on more creative work.

This tool, if used responsibly, can help develop the narrative that will capture the audience's attention. One can see that taking advantage of this tool can have its benefits that will allow us to focus more on creative works, although the information provided is not tied to local laws yet and should always be checked for accuracy.
